Pictures from the trip are in Exploring Baltimore and Annapolis!
Baltimore was a trip we planned before I left Build-A-Bear. Amy had a conference there for a few days and I thought it would be cool to tag along and see the city. We also have friends, Matt and Francene in Annapolis, so we would finish the week with them at their house.
Baltimore is a beautiful city with a bunch of history, I really enjoyed exploring the place. I didn’t get to see as much as I wanted because of the weather, but what I did see was awesome. The restaurants were amazing, the sights were beautiful and the weather was…well, it’s a beautiful city.
The first full day there was a gorgeous day, since I was supposed to site see, but with bad weather on the radar for the rest of the week, I decided to head to Annapolis to head out on the boat with Matt. Matt’s boat, The Sean P Sullivan is named after my brother Sean. It would be the first time I got to board the Sean P. It was an amazing moment and we got to chill out on the water for a bit. After getting some gas and exploring a little bit, we headed back to pick up Francene and Jackson. Once we had our new shipmates, we headed out on the boat to grab some dinner on the water.
After a couple rainy days, Amy was finally FREE! With her conference completed, we packed up and made the trek back to Annapolis. We got there a little late, so we just chilled, had dinner and a few drinks on the USS Cole (Matt’s basement that he modeled after the USS Cole).
The next morning was the highlight of the trip, first we were all a little slow moving after a late night, but the guys went to the boat to go pickup some midshipmen from the Naval Academy. We pulled right up to the sea wall and they jumped on, we were off the pick up the girls. We spent the rest of the day on the water. After a little boat drama, we were back and chilling at the house.
The next morning came way too fast. It was sad to leave, but it was an incredible weekend with wonderful people.
