My rate of travel has increased steadily over the last couple years and over that time I quickly began to realize that I wasn’t nearly as effective at managing my time when I was on the road.
When you have a full time job, side jobs, passion projects and a family, wasting time isn’t an option. There are days when you can goof off here and there sure, but every trip shouldn’t be that.
I started playing with the way I was managing my time on trips. My typical in the office game plan didn’t work when I was in a hotel room, out with coworkers or friends or simply short on time. There was too much uncertainty and volatility to properly plan for what life might bring.
